Saturday, June 21st
Goodell Gardens hosts “The Alder Fork”, a Drawing Workshop with Artist Lee Steadman, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. A $5 pre-registration fee is required; contact the Arts Council of Erie, 814-452-3427, to register.
Lee will conduct a watercolor workshop on painting a landscape at Goodell Gardens. Painting on- site and explaining concepts such as distance, color mixing and composition will be explored.

Saturday, July 26th
Tom Ridge Environmental Center hosts “Come High Water” with Artist Lee Steadman, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. Participants will meet at Beach 7 on Presque Isle State Park to create a labyrinth during the Discover Presque Isle Days. A $5 pre-registration fee is required; contact the Arts Council of Erie, 814-452-3427, to register. Lee will conduct art lesson on the construction of a beach labyrinth, built from found materials on the beach. Environmental art, labyrinth design, and fun in the sun will be a just a few of the activities that day. Show up ready to work and construct a sculpture for the entire community to enjoy.

Saturday, August 23, 2008
Union City Library, South Main Street in Union City, will host “Green Pastures” a drawing workshop with artist Lee Steadman, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A $5 pre-registration fee is required; contact the Arts Council of Erie, 814-452-3427, to register. Lee will conduct art lesson on painting the green pasture. Participants will venture out to a garden / pasture nearby to paint and incorporate the elements of the actual surroundings into the watercolor painting. Let’s take the time enjoy the green pastures on our side of the fence.

Saturday, September 27th
Asbury Woods will host “Every Day September” at the nature center. Open house is from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to watch the ‘Honey Harvest’ and then participate in a drawing workshop with artist Lee Steadman from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A $5 pre-registration fee is required for the drawing workshop; contact the Arts Council of Erie, 814-452-3427, to register. Lee will conduct a toned drawing lesson on seeds, plants and objects that are unique to this time of year. Learn a drawing technique used by the Italian masters. Enjoy the things that are in the wilds of September.
